ExtendMR high performance millipede radio frequency probes are needed for the Neurophysiology Imaging Facility (NIF) core 14T vertical MRI scanner. The required, customized ExtendMR instruments will complement the existing unit and expand the performance capabilities of this core facility for all of NIMH. No other company is authorized to sell ExtendMR LLC instruments.


Description of Requirement:
The NIF core at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) needs to acquire two (2) high performance millipede micro-imaging radio frequency probes customized for a 14T vertical MRI scanner at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to conduct high quality ultra-high resolution anatomical and diffusion MRI of extracted brains.


Contractor is to provide all items as follows, which must be manufactured by ExtendMR LLC and sold by an ExtendMR authorized seller.


*Millipede micro-imaging probe for 14T, 600 MHz. 1H quadrature Radio Frequency coil. Coil 1: Inner/outer diameter 20/40 mm. Coil 2: Inner/Outer diameter 30/40mm.
*   100 element birdcage coil micro-imaging probe 14 T, 600 MHz.
* 1H quadrature coil.
*The probe must fit into the Bruker 14T scanner owned by NIH
* Vendor must give a one-year product warranty that includes repair and / or replacement for defects in manufacturing.


The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this notice to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the Purchase Description (PD) will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Refer to attached "Purchase Description" for specific requirements, delivery date and additional information.


Period of Performance/Delivery:
Delivery shall be within 90 days after receipt of order (ARO).


Summary Statement:
All responses to this notice must be received by 3 pm EST, on July 16, 2018 and must reference the announcement number specified above.

Fax responses will not be accepted.


In addition, the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size must be included in the response. All respondents must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov.


A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to proceed on a non-competitive basis or to conduct a competitive procurement.
