This is a follow-on announcement from the Source Sought Announcement NII-112217-IRIS. The availability of that announcement has been extended to coincide with the closing date of this announcement so that vendors may review it in conjunction with this RFI.
Based on information provided during the pre-solicitation conference with vendors under NII-112217-IRIS, as well as further market research and internal discussions, CBP is evaluating an alternate strategy for acquiring the technologies involved in the IRIS procurement.
To help assess the viability and understand the implications of this modified strategy, CBP is seeking additional input from the vendor community.
Attached to this announcement is an RFI which discusses the proposed changes.
In addition and for the convenience of the vendor community, the interested vendors function of FedBizOpps has been activated so that vendors may submit their business information and view the business information submitted by others.
Vendors are requested to return their technical responses by February 23, 2018 at 4:00pm ET. Any questions should be submitted by February 16, 2018 at 4:00pm ET. Questions regarding this announcement or responses to this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the contract specialist at nathan.p.briggs@cbp.dhs.gov.
