This is PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 561320 with a size standard of $11 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed price, commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base period contract, with two (2) 12-month option periods to renew. Service will begin October 14, 2019 through October 13, 2020 for the base period. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about June 18, 2019 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
The contractor shall provide up to five (5) Hemodynamic Monitoring/Nerve Block Technicians for set-up, monitoring and troubleshooting of the hemodynamic monitoring and nerve block equipment and supplies. All services will be provided onsite at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System Anesthesia Department to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS).

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) Anesthesia Service provides veteran patients with anesthesia procedures for both ambulatory and inpatient surgical procedures. The services provided by the Anesthesia Service include: rendering patients unconscious for surgical procedures (general anesthesia), major neuraxial blocks for surgical procedures (spinal and epidural anesthesia), nerve blocks for surgical procedures, monitored anesthesia care, procedures to alleviate post-operative pain and resuscitation services. The Anesthesia Service utilizes Hemodynamic Monitoring/Nerve Block Technicians in the set-up and monitoring of the equipment and supplies used for Hemodynamic Monitoring and Nerve Block procedures for pain management. It is the expectation that the Hemodynamic Monitoring Technician serves are an integral part of the MVAHCS Anesthesia Care Team to provide the safest possible patient care.

Contractor shall furnish services at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417.

Services are required for a base period of 12-months with two (2) 12-month option periods.
