The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of
FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B). The anticipated contractor is Fresenius USA Marketing, Inc. ( FUSA ) |
920 Winter Street | Waltham | MA 02451-1457. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for the purchase and installation of (6) Fresenius 2008T hemodialysis machines with acute wheel packages, clinical data exchange (CDX) and crit-line clips. Systems must be set-up & programmed to be compatible with existing facility concentrate delivery system. In addition, vendor shall train Hemodialysis staff on updated changes to new dialysis system.

There is not set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under
North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a small business size standard of
500. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document exists for
this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical
data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product.

All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
