Healthy Corner Store
The Council is seeking a consultant with experience in working with retail business establishments such as corner stores or convenience stores to help identify stores that neighborhood groups or organizations in targeted areas can nominate to participate in the Healthy Corner Store program. The consultant would assist the three local public health departments, and the University to reach out to at least six neighborhood groups or organizations to nominate stores in areas of need by April 2013. After the nomination and selection of corner stores to participate in the program, the consultant will provide ongoing assistance to the selected corner stores as they work to improve the healthy choices in their stores.
