This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued by the University of Kentucky to obtain proposals from qualified, experienced, financially sound, and responsible Information technology firms to assist the University of Kentucky HealthCare (UK HealthCare) to implement and/or maintain healthcare information systems in support of the development of an electronic health record (EHR).
Multiple contracts may be awarded from this RFP. Contracts established from this RFP will be utilized on an as needed basis and there is no minimum usage dollar guarantee per contract. The selected firm(s) shall provide project management, technical and functional resources to upgrade, implement and integrate the software applications purchased by UK HealthCare to achieve an EHR. The purpose of this RFP is to obtain a vendor(s) to provide support services to enable Medical Center Information Services (MCIS) program staff to manage system planning, acquisition, implementation, integration and operation tasks in an efficient, professional manner. The selected contractor(s) will be responsible for performing key roles in supporting the continued implementation of Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) along with integration to other departmental systems for development of a seamless application integration for clinicians in ambulatory and inpatient environments. The intent of this project is to augment UK HealthCare MCIS staff to successfully implement an EHR across the enterprise over the next three years. It is an expectation the vendor supplied resources would work in concert with UK HealthCare MCIS staff for project guidance and knowledge transfer.
