Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Paramaribo will launch the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website when it is available. UPDATE: Solicitation Posted August 7th, 2017.

The requirement is for providing Health Insurance to locally employed staff of the U.S. Embassy of Paramaribo, Suriname.

The estimated number of employees is Seventy-Five(75)of which 14 are self only, 19 are Employee plus One, and 45 are Family Plan.

Please note that these are estimated quantities. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four (4) one year option periods, if exercised by the Government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. The solicitation will be issued via the FedBizOpps web site.

Note: The response date in this synopsis is not a firm date; please see the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the actual date.

No paper copies will be mailed. Please see the RFP for the actual response date and note that no electronic proposals will be accepted.

The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on initial offers without discussion, although we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so.

A pre-proposal conference will be held at the Embassy compound.UPDATE: on August 24th, 2017

SAM registration is required pursuant to FAR provision 5.207, and prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposals
