Health District website redesign

This web design project is to replace our existing website with a more robust, functional, and user friendly website. The website should make it easier for the Health District to communicate information to the public, and for the public to access the many resources the Health District has to offer including but not limited to on-line form completion, downloads, video streaming, and employee restricted access. The Restricted access will serve as the Health Districts Intranet.
The website will allow easy access for Health District employees to post information about inspections in real time, allow for the Health District to conduct surveys online, pull in content from other websites, provide video capability, allow the users to search for food inspections on specific restaurants, search their city for food inspections and allow for the purchase of vital records online. In addition, it will allow the Health District to conduct email news blast and allow users to sign up for newsletters and other information as needed. From an administrative stand point the site should have detailed site tracking tools.
The Site may need to rely on a database backend, and we may want it to interact with our current HDIS database system to push out information on restaurants, inspections and other content. HDIS is a CHC software database and the vendor may need to work with CHC software to allow import and export of data between the two systems.
