The County seeks to contract with a qualified tree service company, as described in this Scope of Work, to provide for hazard mitigation pruning of trees within the Bohicket Road and River Road right-of- ways on Johns Island. 127 total trees, 89 on Bohicket Road and 38 trees on River Road have been field located and determined to be in need of hazard limb removal. The project has been divided up into 9 sections, 4 along Bohicket Road and 5 along River Road, in order to target groups of high risk trees within the right-of- ways. Coordination with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) for hazard tree limb pruning activities within the right-of-ways will be the responsibility of the tree service company. The tree pruning work must be completed by November 30, 2010. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required. Please see the Appendix for specific tree information.
