The Naval Air Systems Command intends to solicit and negotiate a Fixed Price Contract for 2 each HardwareWall 1U-3L Tactical Appliances (Part Number HWW2-1U-3L-2) from The Boeing Company. Design and data rights are proprietary to Boeing. The HardwareWall was selected due to its compatibility with the other components as part of a prototype communications system currently in development, and is the only known device to meet the requirements of the overall design architecture.


THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ON FedBizOps. Boeing will receive a Request for Proposal from the Government on a Sole Source basis. This acquisition is being pursued on a Part Number Basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of the applicable synopsis.
