Hammering of Dies
The purpose of this Sources Sought is to seek qualified vendors capable of Hammering Government furnished dies that are:
28 inches wide and 28 inches long
Shut height approximately 28 inches (including shank)
Current shank is 1.92 inches tall and 9.97 inches wide, on center, with 5
degree flanks.
Die can be modified to vendor specs.
The size of the hammer in terms they to apply to any style of hammer is the energy rating of: 94,000 foot pounds.
1. Statement of your firm's intention to bid and how it intends to meet the requirements stated above.
2. Provide the lead time necessary to deliver the end item.
3. Has your firm produced and delivered an acceptable material identical or similar to the part being requested. If
yes, please provide supporting documentation.
4. Please indicate if your firm is a large business or a small business.
This announcement is in support of market research performed by the Army Contract Command - Rock Island to
determine interest and capability to provide the supplies delineated within this Sources Sought. This Sources
Sought is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to
procure any supplies, or for the Government to pay for the information received. No reimbursement will be made
for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or any follow-up
information request. Consequently, no solicitation is being issued at this time. Therefore, no award will be made as
a result of providing this information.
