The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT), IT Operations and Services at Hines Information Technology Center (HITC) have a mission to provide benefits and services to Veterans of the United States. In meeting these goals, HITC strives to provide high quality, effective, and efficient IT services to those responsible for providing care to Veterans throughout the United States and its territories. VA depends on Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) systems, like those housed at HITC, to further meet mission goals. The HITC facility and its administrative department is responsible for ensuring the data center will not experience power losses or electrical outages under any circumstance, twenty-four hours a day/seven days a week.
To ensure the continued accomplishment of its mission and goals, HITC requires services to replace/upgrade the existing data center acoustical ceiling tiles to data center specific rated tiles. The existing ceiling tiles are deteriorating and the particulate falling from the tiles poses a danger to the computer equipment. The project will include the removal of ceiling mounted, unneeded air purifiers (smoke eaters), and all existing ceiling tiles and damaged ceiling grid and supports. Installation of new (replacement) air return grills, compatible computer room approved ceiling tiles and supporting grid work will complete the requirement.
This solicitation is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business interests verified by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE).
