The Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Ocean Service, Silver Spring, MD is soliciting a requirement for cleaning and preservation of a historic tide gauge machine at the NOAA Science Center. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.


The purchase order of the service agreement will be a Total Small Business Set Aside in accordance with FAR part 13. The associated NAICS code is 811219. The small size standard is $20.5 million. The Federal Supply Class is R425.


The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statement of Work is Date of Award through September 30, 2015.


Solicitation number EA-133C-15-RQ-0537 will be issued May 22, 2015 via FedBizOpps at www.FBO.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be provided on the Internet using the same protocol listed above. The solicitation will close June 11, 2015.


The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering past performance and price as specified in the solicitation.


All responsible sources may submit a quote in response to the posted solicitation. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. To be eligible for award, vendors must obtain a DUNS number (this may be done by calling 1-800-333-0505) and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM): www.sam.gov. The anticipated award date is on or about June 17, 2015.
