HELENA-LEWIS & CLARK NATIONAL FOREST - Scapegoat Wilderness FIA Grid Intensification Plot Re-measure
The purpose of this contract will be to conduct statistically sound vegetation sampling by full re-measurement of previously installed Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) grid intensification plots with which management determinations will be made. Work will consist of locating, measuring, and recording data for previously installed long term monitoring plots. Plot re-measurement includes photographing plots, collecting tree, vegetation composition, ground surface cover, and downed woody material data according to Region 1 Intensified Grid Field Procedures Using Inventory and Monitoring Protocols. Additionally, Helena-Lewis & Clark National Forest listed noxious weeds and sensitive plants will be recorded.
