This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. This is NOT a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of commercially available products that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG).

BACKGROUND:
The USCG Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), MRS HC-27J Aircraft Division is required to have Main Landing Gear (MLG) manufactured aircraft parts overhauled or repaired. The required overhaul/repairs will support fourteen (14) HC-27J MRS Aircraft.


SYNOPSIS:
USCG, ALC, Elizabeth City, North Carolina, is seeking alternate sources that can provide overhaul/repair services for the parts listed under the section "Description of Components". The part numbers identified are authorized by the MLG original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Heroux-Devtek, thus alternate items cannot be considered. All possible sources must provide traceability to OEM of each part. Drawings, configurable software, or specifications are not available, and cannot be furnished by the Government. All companies that can provide overhaul/repair services for the components listed are encouraged to provide a capability statement, company cage code, brochures, or any other information demonstrating that they can provide the required services for these components.

This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information to this sources sought. All interested parties must respond to any subsequent solicitation notice published on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fbo.gov.


Responses should include the following:
• Name and address of contractor
• Cage Code
• Point of contact including name, title, phone, and email address
• Capability statement to include the lead time for evaluation and repairs and standard warranty included with product
• State whether the business is OEM certified and if so, provide proof of approval
• State whether the business is currently classified as Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), HubZone Small Business, Women Owned, Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business in terms of the NAICS code 336413
• GSA Contract information if applicable and other information that provides the Coast Guard with a more accurate picture of the potential marketplace for this requirement. The NAICS code is 336413 and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees.
