HC-130J EO/IR Sensor Upgrade Program
PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION:
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources who possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to upgrade the existing system; or design, integrate, install and support testing on a new EO/IR sensor system on HC-130J aircraft for use by the United States Air Force (USAF) personnel.
This requirement is for the upgrade, or replacement, of the current AN/AAS-54 Sensor System to provide the capabilities identified in this document and its attachments. Performance requirements of the system and the associated interfaces are addressed (i.e. video, data bus, controls and displays, etc.) in the attached DRAFT Systems Requirements Document (SRD). There are some items that are not addressed or stated as being TBD due to information being lacking or unknown at this time. When responding to these areas, you are encouraged to provide any options/approaches that could represent a viable trade-space solution for that particular issue. Please see the attached Draft SRD titled, "Replacement For The AN/AAS-54 Electro-Optical/Infrared Sensor System," dated 1 Sept 2019 (Attachment 1).
See attached Request for Information with Contractor Capability Survey and Draft Systems Requirements Document for additional information. Ensure the Notional Cost Estimate included with the RFI is complete.
