HARVESTING COMBINE
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is AG-4431-S-14-0010 and is issued as an Invitation for Bid, (IFB). This solicitation is a small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 333111 Farm Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-73.
The USDA, ARS intends to procure a New Combine machine for harvesting corn with the following minimum specifications:
This combine will be used to harvest 5 to 15 acre experimental plots. The combine must be equipped with the smallest tires allowable to accommodate variable row spacing. A yield monitor will be required to record crop yield.
