Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW), Texas, Across San Antonio Bay in Aransas County, Texas, Pipeline Dredging
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a pipeline dredging contract for the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW), Texas, Across San Antonio Bay in Aransas County, Texas.
Project Information: The work consists of Schedule 1: Replace Outfall structure at Placement Area (PA) 119A and rehabilitation of PA 119C. Maintenance pipeline dredging of approximately 950,000 CY of material from the GIWW vicinity of San Antonio Bay GIWW Sta. 973+000 - Sta. 1050+00. Placement of approximately 40,000 CY at Kingfisher Beach and 910,000 CY placed at PAs 119A and 119C. Completion time including mob/demob of 130 calendar days with a dredging production rate of approx. 12,000 CY per day.
Option 1: pipeline dredging of approximately 160,000 CY of material vicinity of intersection of the GIWW and the Matagorda Ship Channel, with placement at Sundown Island. If awarded, an additional 16 calendar days with a dredging production rate of approx. 12,000 CY per day will be added to the contract duration.
If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount $2,923.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted.
The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed.
The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million (Dredging).
The solicitation will be issued on or about 16 August 2019. Response date is 16 September 2019 @ 2:00 PM (CST) (All bids must be submitted electronically via www.FBO.gov). The estimated award date for this project is September 2019.
