The General Services Administration, Public Building Service is seeking sources capable of performing the replacement of the existing Guard Booth and gate controls at the U.S. Post Office & Courthouse, in Monroe, LA.

  
The description of the work is as follows:


Division 1: Demolition

  
1. Remove existing guard booth. Ensure no issues with power and/or communication cables. 
2. Contractor to make improvements in concrete pad and area where guard booth was located if any damaged occurred.

Division 2: Renovation: 

1. Install new 8'x6' Ballistic Guard Booth (Level III). This will include a full HVAC side mounted and tinted windows. Interior layout to match existing. 
2. Contractor to provide guard shack details and shop drawings prior to removal of existing gurad shack for approval. 
3. Remove and replace existing gate operators in two locations. Both operators will need to have the capability to be operated from the CSO station on the 1st floor. 
4. Install vehicle loops as needed for operators. 
5. Any core drilling inside the building will need to take place at a time that is coordinated with the GSA Project Manager. 
6. Replace any sod damaged or required to be moved for improvements. 
7. Clean up and remove all debris from jobsite. This site is an occupied building and no construction debris or equipment shall block access to the parking areas. 
8. Contractor to refer to GSA P-100 and the USMS Publications for additional details and clarification on requirements.

The estimated cost range for all work is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement will be set aside total small business Concerns under FAR Part 19. Work to be performed under the contemplated contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220 with a size standard of $35 Million. All offerors are advised that this project may be revised or canceled at any time during the pre-solicitation synopsis, solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and final award.

It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 210 calendar days to complete. Any award resulting from this procurement will be based on a source selection employing a "Best Value Concept" methodology.
