Grey Towers National Historic Site announces an opportunity for Historic Masonry Restoration and Preservation project. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238140. The Small Business Administration size standard is $16.5 million. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis, the pending solicitation or any follow up information requests. No hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents and applicable amendments, if any will be provided. To receive the entire solicitation package and any applicable amendments, prospective offerors must download them from the FedBizOpps website. The work covered under this project includes but is not limited to documenting the existing bonding, rhythm, and patterns for the purpose of matching the mason's craftsmanship when replicating their mason work, disassembly of the deteriorating masonry walls and features including the stone walls, coping stones and footings, retaining all stone for reuse in the new specified masonry work, create new subsurface footings where required for new masonry walls, restore the original historic appearance (bonding, rhythm, and patterns) of the stone structures and other masonry components of those structures, utilizing the COR approved mortar formulas, install specific masonry details (i.e., coping stone) to the same placement and sequence as removed or as specified in any change, coordinate & sequence the work with the Forest Service for their installation of a new or additional work.
