City worked with the Levin Institute to launch a pilot JumpStart program that focused on helping recently displaced financial service industry professionals transition to general entrepreneurial opportunities in the City. The pilot program was viewed as a success and subsequently expanded in December 2009 to create separate tracks for displaced finance professionals that focused on the following sectors: green finance, not-for-profit, arts (performing or visual), new media and related industries. The green finance track was especially well received by participants.
City is now seeking to launch a dedicated Green JumpStart program, which will be open to participants with a range of professional experience, not just finance professionals. City is interested in seeking one or more Consultant(s) to establish and administer a year-long Program. City anticipates providing limited funding to launch the Program. The Consultant is expected to secure additional funding sources to successfully perform the Services, after City funding has been exhausted, such as: sponsorship, tuition, federal funding, or university funding.
