Greater Bridgeport Transit (GBT) is seeking a web and social media design firm for the
complete update of its web and internet based outreach with the following goals:
1. To ensure that the materials presented to the communities served by GBT are fresh,
relevant, easy to access and useful to riders and prospective riders;
2. To ensure that the updated website is a responsive design and available and useful
on the maximum number of devices possible;
3. To obtain a content management system that is easily accessed and used by GBT
staff;
4. To provide an easy and useful platform for GBT's Trip Planning, Live Bus Tracking
and rider alert systems easily accessed by multiple devices;
5. To ensure the integration of all GBT web-based outreach including Facebook, Twitter
and others; and
6. Provide an internet marketing strategy which will benefit GBT riders and, through the
information provided and the simplicity of its delivery, will encourage new ridership.
To this end, GBT is seeking a firm or team to deliver a state of the art product. Included in
this project will be:
1. The design and production of a new GBT website;
2. The installation and staff training associated with a new content management
system;
3. The launch and debugging of the new site;
4. An option for hosting of the website by the selected firm; and
5. Three years of website maintenance.
