Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, is currently conducting preliminary planning market research to determine commercial market practices and the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing services for Grease Traps and Interceptor Cleaning and Recyclable Cooking Oil Disposal. The anticipated period of performance is 1 November 2018 through 30 October 2019 with the possibility of exercising up to four (4) option years.

An important outcome of this research is the possibility of setting aside this acquisition for exclusive competitive participation within a specific Small Business Administration (SBA) program in accordance with (IAW) FAR 19.201(a). Specific SBA programs are service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, and economically-disadvantaged women-owned small business.


MICC-JBLM is seeking industry information and comments from sources with capabilities to perform the requirements described here and with relevant experience in all of the functional areas mentioned in the Description of Services. Interested parties shall complete and submit the attached Sources Sought Questionnaire to the Government. Providing responses to the questions therein will not automatically include any interested party in the acquisition process for future solicitations.


DISCLAIMER: This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is submitted IAW FAR clause 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997). This SSS is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. Responses to this SSS shall not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. MICC-JBLM will not accept unsolicited proposals related to the subject of this SSS. The responder must clearly identify any information it considers sensitive or proprietary. All information received in response to this SSS that is marked "Proprietary" will be handled accordingly. Responses to this SSS will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with and incurred by responding to this SSS. The Government reserves the right to determine how it should proceed as a result of this notice.
