Culture.ca is Canadas cultural gateway providing its visitors with quick and easy access to the vast array of quality Canadian cultural content on-line. It is an initiative of the Department of Canadian Heritage and is developed in collaboration with partners in the private and public sectors. Culture.ca aims to engage Canadians in cultural life, to educate and entertain Web surfers with the stories of many peoples, and to provide access to the best of Canadian culture on-line. No other Web site or portal provides such a broad and expansive view of Canadian culture in both official languages.
Culture.ca is designed to appeal to a broad audience. Its main target audience are Canadians aged 25 to 55. In answering our users needs, Culture.ca is moving towards a portal model where we will develop new content partnerships and greatly expand upon our content features that support our robust links collection.
