Graphic Designer, Web Developer, Illustrator and Printer
GRAPHIC DESIGNER/ILLUSTRATOR:
Client seeks artist to provide uncluttered line art for printing on assorted media
including clothing, mugs, waterbottles, etc (clipart is probably a good designation).
Designer will be expected to confer with Client to determine a style for a series of
pieces. Initial requirement is estimated to be for between 8 and 12 images, with more
likely.
Selected candidate will be asked to provide at least one illustration as a sample.
Samples will not be used by Client for any purpose than refining candidate list.
Client will register commissioned works with the copyright office; artist will
need to either transfer copyright in the pieces or agree to a liberal licensing agreement.
Payments for the pieces are one-time payments, no further royalties are planned.
WEBDEV:
Client will require website design and possibly hosting. Current plans are to use
Bluehost although that may change. The site as envisioned consists of a home page, a
blog (maybe), a catalog and integrated shopping cart. The initial catalog will likely have
between 16 and 24 items although more are planned. A CMS should allow Client to at
least make expected changes to catalog and blog, although some ongoing consultation
and website maintenance is expected. A few (1-5) email addresses, webmail and POP,
will be needed.
PRINTING:
Client will require printing of designs on clothing items, as well as mugs, water
bottles and other items to be decided later.
Initial orders are estimated to be for between 8 and 12 designs, each printed on 3
sizes of shirts, at least 10 of each combination (240-360 shirts). Hopefully further orders
will be larger in size.
Printer should be able to print on a wide variety of other materials although such
is not required for the initial offering.
