The United States Air Force Business and Enterprise Systems (BES) Directorate (AFLCMC/HI) at Gunter AFB, AL, Enterprise Application and Integration (EA&I) Division (AFLCMC/HIQ) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, Defense Business System (DBS) Development Planning (DP) Branch (AFLCMC/HIQD) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH is conducting market research in support of the USAF Logistics Information Technology (IT) Transformation Sponsor (AF/A4L) for GFM-A. This market research will assist in identifying Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products that will inform an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) Study with the components of potential courses of action to acquire and field a GFM-A capability.


The intent of this new GFM-A capability is to address the AF's inability to track end-to-end, logistics and financial transactions; provide total asset visibility (TAV); and report materiel inventory values accurately and timely for contractor managed and possessed government materiel. The AF must ensure mission readiness; satisfy financial reporting and DoD policy requirements; assert existence and completeness and valuation; and guarantee Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance.
