ACDI/VOCA seeks to secure a blanket purchase agreement with a telecommunications provider that has VSAT coverage of the areas where ACDI/VOCA has the majority of its projects. This would include sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Central Asia. ACDI/VOCA is not currently connect with these Project offices and one of the objectives of this project is to interconnect these offices and our Washington, DC office via hub and spoke network topology through a reliable VSAT service.
ACDI/VOCA anticipates contracting for a certain level of service designed to provide remote offices with sufficient internt bandwidth to take advantage of the various cloud-based resources deployed by the organization; including Microsoft Office 365, Aspire Global learning platform, Agresso (ERP) and use of Skype for Business.
The successful bidder will be able to provide ACDI/VOCA with global coverage for the majority of the organization's project offices. ACDI/VOCA staff will be able to manage the level of bandwidth extended to each office dynamically. The successful bidder will be the single point of contact for ACDI/VOCA when extending VSAT coverage to any given office. The vendor will manage all communications between itself and the local partner and provide all equipment required to connect the office to the vendor's satellite.
