Global Synthetic Weather Radar (GSWR) - FA8730-20-S-0001
The AFLCMC Aerospace Management Systems Division (AFLCMC/HBA), Contracting Branch (AFLCMC/HBAK) invites innovative technical approach concept papers addressing transition of software code from research to operations, operational software baseline sustainment, and future Machine Learning (ML) development for the Global Synthetic Weather Radar (GSWR) capability.
The GSWR capability to be transitioned will provide real-time radar-like global mosaics and one (1) to twelve (12) hour forecasts of Vertically-Integrated Liquid (VIL), Composite Reflectivity, and Echo Top (ET) information through the combination of lightning, satellite, and Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) model data. GSWR products will support United States Air Force (USAF) mission planning and execution.
