Scope: The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Markets Division, seeks a Global GAP
(Good Agricultural Practices) auditing firm or a firm contracting with a Certified firm to perform audits on
farms. The numbers listed are anticipated quantities. We may need to increase or decrease to meet the
needs of the Department. The Department will pay for actual audits performed.
A Global GAP certified auditing firm to:
1. Provide Self Global GAP audits to approximately 19 farms. The auditor will need to
receive a copy of the completed self audit before proceeding to a pre-audit. While the
auditor is not required to evaluate the self audits in detail, the auditor is required to inform
NCDA of self audits that fall below a level that would allow the company to reasonably
expect to gain Global GAP certification.
2. Perform pre-audits of potential 13 companies still interested which are not currently
certified. The auditor will simulate an actual audit as best as possible before harvest and
provide a report to the farm on their current status toward Global GAP certification,
requirements to reach certification and technical advise regarding certification.
3. Perform potentially 19 actual Global Gap Audits and issue certifications to qualified farms.
