The government anticipates a new requirement for the replacement of damaged window glass in the air traffic control tower on Kelly Field, JBSA-Lackland, Texas. The proposed NAICS for the requirement is 238150.

Requirement as currently written in the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW)

Glass installation/ Reglaze

•·         The contractor shall remove the existing, damaged glass in a safe and efficient manner.

•·         Installation of heat strength glass need to be installed with the color being green to match existing tower glass color (outer glass)

•·         Installation of heat strength / low iron glass need to be installed with the color being clear to match existing tower glass color (inner glass)

•·         Size is as followed for both glass, 72 1/2" x 83 1/8" with the glass being in a ¼"  thickness on both glasses

•·         A ½" inch black air strip will be installed between both glass sheets to create a vapor seal to prevent moisture

•·         Use of a boom lift will be needed to reach the height of the glass. The total height of the building is approximately 110 feet high.
