Overview of Project:
The National Center for PTSD Dissemination and Training Division promotes best practices in treatment of Veterans with PTSD and related problems through training and practice change efforts based on implementation science, and by developing and researching novel interventions to expand access and improve effectiveness of care. Areas of special focus include web-based training, smart phone technology, internet, and other intervention technologies, evidence-based treatment, military sexual trauma, and disaster mental health.
Scope of Work:
The National Center for PTSD, Dissemination and Training Division has developed a variety of mobile applications in the past 3 years, including, most notably, the multi-award winning PTSD Coach (Winner of the Advancements in Accessibility Award from the Federal Communications Commission 2011 and Winner of the President's Innovation Award from the American Telemedicine Association 2012). NCPTSD has a multi-phase coordinated research program to study the usability, efficacy, and implementation of these applications. The gift cards will be used as incentives for veterans for their feedback on these free mobile apps that have already been developed and are wanting to know how useful they are and where to make improvements.
