Gensym G2 Software Licenses
The Naval Air Weapons Center, Aircraft Division at Lakehurst NJ is standing up a Software Support Laboratory. The Software Support Laboratory requires software and licenses to duplicate an existing laboratory and produce an end software product to install and update Advanced Arresting Gear system software. Development licenses are required for Gensym G2 software, originally licensed by Gensym Corporation. Gensym was purchased by Ignite Technologies, Inc. CAGE 7ZVH0, and Ignite Technologies now own the rights for Gensym Software. No part number is called out by the Gensym G2 OEM. Ignite Technologies, Inc. will issue the Gensym Licenses directly. The Government intends to procure an initial 2-year license coverage, and provide for three option years of the software that could be exercised if the Gensym G2 software remains the software controlling software for the AAG.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ON FedBizOps. Ignite Technology will receive a Request for Proposal from the Government on a Sole Source basis. This acquisition seeks to obtain a specific software license under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of the applicable synopsis.
