The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research, pursuant to FAR Part 10 Market Research, to identify potential parties capable of providing general maintenance services for the industrial building and building related equipment on the NIST Gaithersburg campus.

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY, not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify organizations with the capabilities to provide the services stated herein. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. WOSB, HUBZone, and VOSB and SDVOSB are encouraged to respond to this notice.


OBJECTIVE


The NIST Office of Facilities and Property Management Division on the Gaithersburg campus is interested in identifying vendors with the capability to perform various maintenance tasks and manage services for an Industrial Steam and Chilled Water Generating Facility, specifically:


-    Service Disabled Veteran Owned
-    Woman Owned


BACKGROUND


The facility has large York Chillers, Cooling Towers, Union Iron Work Boilers, English Boilers, Pumps, Air Handling Equipment, Deaerators, Variable Frequency Drives, etc. In addition to the general preventative maintenance type work we would also require sub contracted services for the inspection, testing and repair of large motors and gearboxes for the York chillers and other subordinate systems. The planned scope of this work is a base plus four option years.


CAPABILITY STATEMENTS

Interested, capable vendors (parties) shall submit a Capability Statement in response to this Sources Sought Notice, with the following:


1.    Contact information: Company, Address, Point of Contact, Phone Number, Fax Numbers, Email Address


2.    Type of business (small, large, etc.) with a brief summary of the company, of no more than 3 paragraphs.


3.    A capabilities statement with a general background of their company that clearly identifies their experience and qualifications to perform the work requirements. The statement should identify the types of work your company performs directly, and identify work would be subcontracted, along with any information that the interested party feels is relevant.


4.    NAICS code - Feedback on the selected NAICS code.


5.    Please address any concerns that you have pertaining to this notice that should be clarified by the Government prior to the issuance of a solicitation.

A SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought. If and when a solicitation is issued, it will be posted on GSA e-Buy or https://www.fbo.gov/. It is the respondent's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. Vendors are not required to respond to this notice to be considered for award.
