Gateway Design and Construction
The City is soliciting sealed proposals from experienced and qualified professionals who are interested in entering into a Contract to create an inviting and aesthetically pleasing design for up to four (4) City-identified gateways. Qualified landscape architects or other similarly qualified consultants and professionals are invited to submit proposals for the design and construction. The gateways shall include provisions for, but shall not be limited to, landscaping, hardscaping, grading, irrigation systems, fiber optics for digital signage (to be offered as an option), signs, monuments, lighting, and sidewalks. All of the designs must be low maintenance (use of Solar and/or LED lighting where applicable, specification of weather-resistant synthetic materials, specification of low maintenance plants and bedding material, etc.). The work includes: 1.) getting a conceptual design approved by the City, 2.) providing a complete set of construction documents, 3.) obtaining all necessary permitting, 4.) providing landscape maintenance guidelines and specifications, and 5.) the actual construction or construction administration of the approved designs.
