SMC Global Positioning Systems Directorate (SMC/GP) STS-2 Solicitation Release - RFP
The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Global Positioning Systems Directorate (SMC/GP) is releasing a Task Order RFP for Technical Support Follow-on (STS-2). SMC/GP will send an email notification to the GSA OASIS Small Business (SB) Pool 5B contract awardees when the Task Order RFP is released and uploaded to the Bidder's Library. The LAAFB SB office reference number is 15-114; the Task Order RFP number is FA8807-14-R-0007.
Description: This solicitation notice pertains to the acquisition of Advisory and Assistance Services supporting the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Global Positioning Systems Directorate (SMC/GP). This notice applies to awarded firms under General Services Administration (GSA) One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) contract (Pool 5b) only. SMC/GPK intends to accomplish a fair opportunity competition, under the OASIS Small Business contract (the SB size standard for NAICS 541712 is 1,000 employees), a Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and Cost Reimbursable Task Order for necessary services to accomplish acquisition systems program security, program protection, mission systems certification and accreditation, and cybersecurity in SMC/GP. The period of performance for this contract is one base year and four one year option periods.
An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
