GSA, Personal Property Division, Vessel Brokerage Services
The General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Services, Personal Property Division, Sales Branch seeks potential sources/offerors that can provide vessel brokerage services. A vessel is defined as a ship or large boat. The vessels that GSA most commonly sells include, but are not limited to, barges, work boats, tug boats, tow boats, safety boats, search & rescue boats, utility boats, escort boats, patrol boats, dry docks, and vessels 50+ feet. Areas of focus include promotion, pricing, preparation, and presentation.
GSA is seeking sources that can provide the following, but not limited to:
Effective marketing strategies/analysis for the sale of vessels
Appropriate marketing/promotion mediums for the sale of vessels
Assist with determining the appropriate amount of time to advertise/market vessels (please note that the amount of time could be as little as seven (7) days to advertise/market)
Increase public awareness and business volume (individual, company/industry, local/state/federal government) of vessels required to be sold
Recommend reserve prices and bid increments
Research the appropriate appraisal and evaluation services for vessel sales
Any other brokerage services that could increase bid prices and the number of buyers
Assist with inspections during site visits

All potential interested sources/offerors to this sources sought synopsis are required to submit their Capabilities Statement (do not exceed 5 pages) indicating the level of interest, capability, and the brokerage size standard (i.e. small business, women-owned, HUBZONE, etc).
