GIS Parcel Data Project
The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal for digital data development services in Midland County. Midland County is initiating a data development project that will result in a seamless parcel data set for use in our Geographic Information System (GIS). The County is in the process of implementing an enterprise GIS and a recognized layer of information required in the early stages of GIS development for county government is the parcel data. The County as represented by its GIS Department intends to use the results of this process to award a contract to complete the aforementioned service. The parcel layer will be a countywide dataset excluding the City of Midland. Some areas of the county are being developed in-house. These areas will be determined throughout the course of the project. The Vendor will be responsible for developing at a minimum six townships with the development of the rest of the county being done on a township-by-township basis for areas assigned by Midland County staff. Refer to the scope of work for specific locations that this project will encompass.
