The Engineering and Public Works Department (EPW) of the Municipality of the County
of Kings (Municipality) requires services from a qualified Consultant to conduct field
surveys to collect the spatial and non-spatial attributes of the infrastructure making up the
Avonport Sewage System in Avonport, Nova Scotia. This project is intended to be a pilot
study to aid in updating the Municipality's Geographic Information System (GIS). This
project will also aid the Municipality's efforts to develop a Total Asset Management
Model consistent with the new Public Sector Accounting Board requirements that take
effect in 2009. Location of critical infrastructure will be collected with Global
Positioning System (GPS) technology and Total Station survey methods as applicable.
