Data Acquisition AreaProvide image and vector data products for a project area of approximately 56 square miles consistent with the existing City of Ann Arbor GIS Large Scale database (See Figure 1).
Image Data DescriptionColor and Color IR digital ortho-imagery with 6 inch pixel resolution in an ESRI compatible format, uncompressed .tif and associated tfw files in a manner consistent with existing 2,000 by 3,000 tiling structure.
Image Data AcquisitionAcquire the Color and Color IR digital ortho-imagery with ONE planned flight in early 2009 using a Digital Aerial Camera which meets or exceeds specifications for a Leica ADS40 SH51 or DMC System by Intergraph-Z/I Imaging.
Data Acquisition StandardsMeet or exceed National Map Accuracy Standards for 1 = 100 mapping for content and accuracy for digital ortho-imagery and vector data acquisitions. Provide City with Camera Calibration Certificate, project planning materials such as control and flight line diagrams and a project delivery schedule for approval.
Special Acquisition ConcernsRecognize the unique and limited window of opportunity for aerial data acquisitions in the southeast Michigan area and monitor weather conditions accordingly to ensure a successful data capture mission.
Vector Data SpecificationsDelineate Impervious, Pervious and Water Surface areas in an ESRI compatible format, a polygon data layer based upon the Color IR digital ortho-imagery mentioned above and LIDAR data if available at the time in a manner consistent with existing 16,000 by 24,000 tiling structure.
Data Product DeliveryProvide image and vector data products in an agreed upon manner and in a City approved ESRI compatible format consistent with City GIS data storage in a Windows Server and ArcSDE software environment. Data will be provided in the Horizontal Datum NAD83 Michigan State Plane South Zone and in the Vertical Datum NAVD88 in units of International Feet.
