The Gearbox Assembly, AI, is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 1-1615-301, revision date: 04/30/2014, is adequate to support the overhaul of the Gearbox Assembly, AI; however, because this item is a Critical Safety Item (CSI), overhaul can only be performed by the approved sources. Currently the only known approved sources for the overhaul data for the Gearbox Assembly, AI, are The Boeing Company (CAGE Code: 8V613) and Timken Aerospace Transmission (CAGE Code: 15152). Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Request (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List procedures. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casl_cmo_home. Questions concerning SAR submissions can be directed to the ED SAR Team at EDSAR@amrdec.army.mil or call the SAR Team at 256-313-8978, 256-313-0341 or 256-313-8994. The solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated on the solicitation. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.
