This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis/Request for Information. The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this sources sought synopsis. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not commit the government to ultimately award a contract nor commit the Government to pay for any response or preparation cost. The Government is neither negotiating nor calling for offers and a solicitation will not be issued at this time. Any information received will be reviewed and will be used to develop the acquisition strategy and possibly a Request for Quotation.
Market Research is being conducted by the 6th Contracting Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base FL on behalf of the 49th Materiel Maintenance Support Squadron, Operation Location Alpha to seek qualified vendors with the skills, knowledge, and resources required to provide the requirement listed below:
Description of Requirement
001. Module, Electronic Processor, Type-N P/N: 24214-202 (1 Ea) to repair R-18 refueling pump. In accordance with technical data T.O. 37A9-3-5-61 the Electronic Processor Module is required to trouble shoot problems with the R-18 engine.
002. 120' Hose Assemblies P/N: 10603001GA1440 (48 Ea) for replacement of dry rotted hoses on R-20 Servicing Platforms. In accordance with technical data T.O. 37A9-3-5-61, if the hose shows deterioration it needs to be replaced.
This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System is 33999 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities, and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 11:59 PM EST on 12 June 2014. Such information will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their experience in providing the same or similar items described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business status (i.e. 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, etc.), business size based on the NAICS listed, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, or for any costs associated with providing the information.
