This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION & MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. This IS NOT a request for proposals, quotations, or bids. Responses to this request will not be returned. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of the USACE Philadelphia to use this information for market research purposes only. The survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS code 811310, and to establish that there are adequate large and/or small business contractors for providing the work described below. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via Federal Business Opportunities (http:www.fbo.gov).
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is looking for qualified sources to provide the following:
Twenty-eight (28) wide cam style Alco Diesel Engine fuel pump support assemblies with crossheads, lifter, bushings, cams and all other associated parts, cleaned, examined, repaired and reassembled using new, genuine OEM Fairbanks Morse/ALCO parts. All units shall be made ready for immediate installation.
The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, parts, materials, services of a qualified and experienced marine engine or locomotive repair facility to overhaul and rebuild ALCO Diesel Engine wide cam fuel pump support assemblies using all new parts, except for main casting, in accordance with ALCO specifications, including all instructions, bulletins, and service manual DRP- 14429E and MI-11049K.
