Fremont County Phone System
This document has been prepared to solicit proposals for a new phone system for Fremont County School
District #6. The current voice network consists of a Mitel SX-50 analog PBX located in the Wind River Middle /
High School (MS/HS). This PBX also services Wind River Elementary and the Central Office and a Bus
Garage. A new Elementary / Central Office building is being constructed and is scheduled to be occupied by
the District in August 2008. The new building is approximately 50 yards away from the existing MS/HS and will
be connected to the MS/HS with single mode fiber only and no CAT3 copper backbone (see diagram in
Appendix A). The Bus Garage will also be connected via single mode fiber + 1 Cat5 cable to the rest of the
campus. It is the intent of the District to use a single IP PBX solution to service all campus buildings. Because
of the funding nature of the new construction an alternate bid will be required. The District is also requesting
the equipment bid to be limited to Cisco or ShoreTel or ESI products.
