Freight Mobility Improvement Project
The work to be performed by the consultant consists of performing preliminary engineering, environmental review, PS&E, and possibly construction engineering services. This project involves the improvements of three major intersections to better accommodate freight traffic.
The improvements for these intersections will likely include signal improvements, expanded turn lanes and radii, and geometric realignment (both horizontal and vertical) to better accommodate turning movements of freight traffic. The goal of these improvements is to increase the safety and efficiency of freight movements through the intersections, and to reduce freight traffic travelling through the City's Central Business District.
