Four month contract extension for commercial Information Technology services for the period August 01, 2015 to November 30, 2015 in support of DARPA's Mission Services Office (MSO) Information Technology Directorate (ITD).
This is a sole source synopsis for the acquisition of a four month performance period extension, August 01, 2015 to November 30, 2015, for current Unclassified IT Support and Services (UITSS) contract HR0011-14-C-0008 with Wyle Laboratories, Inc., for commercial Information Technology services in support of DARPA's Mission Services Office (MSO) Information Technology Directorate (ITD). The performance period extension will be in the form of four one-month options, for August, September, October, and November 2015. In accordance with the authority at FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", DARPA intends to negotiate a contract modification for the four month extension. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement and is issued for notification purposes only. The current support services are set to expire on July 31, 2015. Having Wyle Laboratories, Inc. continue providing the support services for the four month period is necessary because DARPA ITD requires a team of individuals that is familiar with the current DARPA IT environment and strategic plan in order to provide full-spectrum Information Technology services including network and security architecture, file storage and backup, email and scheduling, server, desktop, laptop and printer provisioning and support, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Legacy application provisioning and support, software development, Web page development and support, and configuration management for Agency personnel (approximately 1000 customers). On August 13, 2014, DARPA CMO published a Request for Proposal with solicitation number HR0011-14-R-0001 on FedBizOpps for the subsequent acquisition of the commercial Information Technology services. GAO received a bid protest. The contract extension to Wyle Laboratories, Inc. will be necessary during the automatic stay of contract performance that resulted from the filing of the bid protest. Anticipated date of the resolution of the bid protest is September 30, 2015.
