Fortus 400mc Service Contract for Extended Warranty
The BEP has a need to procure annual extended warranty maintenance services for Rapid
Prototyping "Fortus 400mc" 3-D Printer System at the Washington, DC Currency Facility.
The warranty includes preventative and reactive maintenance services, the supply of
replacement parts to replace worn or defective parts, and the supply of hardware and software
updates. The Extended Warranty covers these maintenance services to support the existing
Fortus 400mc 3D Production System, serial #T2038 ("Fortus 400mc"), manufactured by
Stratasys, Incorporated ("Manufacturer") to produce prototype and production machinery
components. To maximize the availability of this production system, the BEP has a
requirement for an annual service contract. To existing Warranty will expire September 4,
2019.
The BEP requires annual services to include training select BEP employees in the use and
maintenance of the Fortus 400mc according to the Manufacturer's standards and answering
questions that may arise during routine use and maintenance. The requested services will
ensure that the instruments can operate continuously and that they will have a substantial
operating lifespan.
