The Forest Preserve District of Kane County is required to purchase goods and services in
conformance with Illinois State law, state regulation, Kane County Purchasing Ordinance,
related resolutions of the Board of Commissioners, and administrative policies. Requirements of
less than $10,000 are made in accordance with established procedures for small-dollar purchases
and informal quotations. Formal bids for purchases in excess of $10,000 are advertised in local
newspapers and may be listed in the “Current Bid Announcements” section below. When a
supplier is aware of a solicitation, they can contact the District to request the bid document be
mailed.
