Food Distribution
The purpose of this Request For Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a competitive
contract with one Contractor. We strongly encourage Proposers to view the States Master Contract
and U.S.D.A. warehousing program in total, and offer pricing that allows the State to benefit from such a combination. The intent is to utilize the fewest number of Contractors to the extent possible,
to allow Proposers to offer more aggressive pricing due to increases in volume and allow the State to
realize the subsequent savings resulting from the decreases in prices and to simplify the billing and
administration for the future contract. The number of Contractors will be determined with respect to what is in the best interest of the State.
