The Joint Base Lewis McChord Health Contracting Cell (JBLM-HCC) is seeking information on the availability of a Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting (FACS) system for the Department of Clinical Investigation, Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) located at JBLM, Tacoma, WA 98431. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or signify an RFQ will ultimately be issued. This RFI does not commit the Government to a contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.


The Government anticipates that a solicitation, if issued, would take place as early as 1 August 2019.


Responses to this sources sought announcement will assist the Government in determining whether or not any future requirement similar to this one should be made available to full and open competition or procure through sole-source acquisition procedures.

Though this is not a request for quote, informational pricing is encouraged.

Please provide sufficient descriptive literature that unequivocally demonstrates that offered products and services can meet the attached requirements. All descriptive material necessary for the government to determine whether the service/product offered meets the technical requirements including: technical specifications, descriptive material, literature, brochures and other information, which demonstrates the capabilities of the contractor to meet the requirement. If applicable, identification of the firm's GSA Schedule contract(s) by Schedule number and SINs that are applicable to this potential requirement.

In order to aid in a possible determination to set-aside the requirement under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 19, the Government requests that respondents indicate their business name, point of contact, business type (large business, small business, service disabled small business, etc.) in their response.


The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.


Responses in Microsoft Word for Office 2010 compatible format are due no later than 2 July 2019, 13:00 EST. Responses shall be limited to five pages and submitted via e-mail only to alfonso.nolasco.civ@mail.mil . Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
