RFP : Flow Cytometer in Missouri, United States

Flow Cytometer – must meet or exceed the following requirements:
 A minimum of two lasers excitation: 1 laser must be in 480-496
nm range and the other 620-650 nm range
 Side and forward scatter detection capability
 Four color emission detection (detection capability should be
approximately ~530, ~580, ~675nm)
 Cell counting capability in absolute scale
 10,000 events per second or greater – needed as Southeast works
with relatively concentrated samples
 Fixed voltage and gain – needed to allow beginners to
effectively use this instrument
 Data must be repeatable
 Must include all appropriate hardware and software for a
complete system
 Ability to perform cell cycle, apoptosis, and viability
experiments
 Non-pressurized, Unit must be driven by peristaltic pump
2. Warranty: The contractor must provide a two (2) year warranty
(minimum), without exclusions. In addition, the warranty should
include the following:
2.1 A toll-free phone number for reporting equipment problems.
2.2 The warranty will commence upon written acceptance of the
equipment by the University’s Purchasing Department or payment
of such, whichever occurs first.
3. All equipment must be new. Used, demonstrator, or reconditioned
equipment will not be accepted.
4. Manuals: The contractor must provide a complete set of
comprehensive and easy to understand manuals for service, repair,
operation, and parts. All manuals must be written in American
English.
